Musician Ariana Grande recently announced the opening of Orange Twins Rescue, a new animal shelter in Los Angeles that works to rescue stray cats and dogs. “We are so happy, proud, and excited,” Grande announced on Instagram, adding that a website for the shelter is in the works. Orange Twins Rescue is currently caring for several animals, including 20-year-old chihuahua Jolene, cat mom Sun (whose surrogate kittens will be available for adoption soon), and calico cat Mani (who is recovering from leg surgery).

Grande that has embraced ten puppies, transitioned to some diet in 2013. “I love animals more than that. I love most folks, maybe not kidding,” Grande told The Mirror in 2014. “However, I’m a firm believer in eating a complete plant-based, complete food diet which may extend your life span and cause you to an all-around happier individual.” Despite her love of creatures, Grande’s fermented journey struck a couple of hiccups in the street. In 2015, the artist had been famously filmed licking at a non-vegan doughnut in a bakery in Los Angeles; a year ago, the 27-year-old promoted a non-vegan Cloud Macchiato drink at Starbucks.
